ROLLOVER ACCIDENTS MONDAY MORNING

Weather factor in two accidents Monday morning
Two drivers were slightly injured in accidents Monday
morning.
The first occurred at about 12:50 a.m. when a 1995 Ford
Ranger heading east on State Road 64 hit a patch of ice right at the Dubois and
Crawford county line. The driver, Dillon W. Andry, 22, of Birdseye, lost
control of the truck and it hit a guard rail. The truck flipped over
on the driver’s side and came to rest in a ditch on the south side of the
road.
Andry was able to exit the vehicle through the passenger
side window.
Andry was treated at the scene by Memorial Hospital
Emergency Medical Services for a minor head injury and then released, according
to authorities.
The truck had about $5,000 in damage.
Indiana State Police, Crawford County Sheriff’s
Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, Birdseye First
Responders, Indiana Department of Transportation, and a Berg’s Garage wrecker
assisted at the scene.
The second accident occurred at about 4:23 a.m. on State
Road 56 near county Road 575E.
Deputies said road and weather conditions were a factor
when Kimberly Campbess of French Lick lost control of her 1999 Ford Ranger on
the hill approaching the Dubois cross roads.
When Campbess lost control, the Ranger struck and
embankment and then overturned.
No injuries were reported.
The truck was considered a total loss.
Dubois First Responders, Memorial Hospital Emergency
Medical Services, and a wrecker from Uebelhor and Sons responded.
Jasper — Two
Huntingburg residents’ vehicles had minor damages in a fender bender early
Saturday morning.
Christy Broshears, 49, of E. 9th Street, was northbound
on 34th Street in a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria when she stopped for traffic. When
she stopped, a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by Oscar Flores-Ruiz, 38, of Van
Buren Street, ran into the Ford’s rear-end.
Flores-Ruiz was cited for following too closely to avoid
a collision and for never having been licensed.
Each vehicle had about $300 in damages, according to
police.
Jasper — No injuries were reported when a
distracted driver ran her SUV into the rear of a stopped truck Friday
afternoon.
Amanda R. Henke, 30, 0f E. 8th Street, Jasper, told
police she was on her way to pick up her children wasn’t paying attention
when she ran the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving into the rear of a
stopped 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche on Hospitality Drive.
The Avalanche driven by Thomas A. Rasche, 29,of N. 300E,
Dubois, was northbound on Hospitality Drive and had stopped at the 100S
intersection.
The Avalanche had about $1,500 and the Blazer had about
$2,000 in damages.
No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.
Arrests
Huntingburg man arrested for never being licensed
Huntingburg — Huntingburg police arrested
Manuel Aron Garcia Gabriel, 24, for never being licensed after they stopped him
for speeding Saturday evening.
An officer stopped a silver BMW at the 12th and
Jackson streets intersection after observing it speeding. During the stop the
officer determined Garcia Gabriel had never been licensed.
He was charged with operator never licensed and booked
into the Dubois County Security Center.
