ONE DEAD AFTER A
CAR AND 18-WHEELER- CRASH ON HIGHWAY 176 EAST OF SPARTANBURG, S.C.

A 35-year-old Pacolet man died after a crash involving a
tractor-trailer Sunday night.
Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified
the man as Terwayne Wannamaker, who was driving on Highway 176, 2 miles east of
Spartanburg, when his car hit a tractor-trailer.
According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash happened
at 9:10 p.m. Sunday. Wannamaker and the driver of the 18-wheeler were wearing
seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not
injured.
Wannamaker was pronounced dead after being transported
to Spartanburg Medical Center. His cause of death is still under investigation.
The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the
cause of the crash.
