PARIS, Ky. (AP) - Fire officials are investigating the cause
of a barn fire that killed three thoroughbred horses in central Kentucky.
Bourbon County Fire Chief Lloyd Campbell told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/1Dy5yXN)
that a state trooper spotted the fire over the weekend and alerted nearby
residents. Fire crews responded, but the barn was destroyed.
The station reports the horses were yearlings that were
to be sold at Keeneland's January sale, which begins Monday.
