Barnesville, Minnesota (KFGO-AM) --

A man was taken to the hospital after being injured in a flash explosion at a business in Barnesville.

It happened at the newly opened Flour Box Bakery and Bistro on Front St. just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Sources tell KFGO News the man was lighting a pilot light on an oven when there was a flash explosion.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist says the man suffered burns and singed hair but was conscious and walking around.  Sanford Air-Med was called to transport the victim to the hospital. His name and condition aren't available.

Flour Box Bakery and Bistro just opened a couple of weeks ago.

The building used to house Valley Fresh Bakery. The business was sold and the name was changed.
