Motorcycle Deaths and Injuries are on the Rise: Fort Wainwright Soldier Killed in Fairbanks, Alaska Motorcycle Crash

A 32-year-old soldier stationed at Ft. Wainwright died Wednesday in a Fairbanks motorcycle crash, according to a U.S. Army Alaska statement.

Sgt. Stanley Bernard Daniels Jr. was involved in a collision at the intersection of Gaffney Road and Barnett Street, the Army said. 

He was taken toFairbanks Memorial Hospital shortly after midnight, and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Daniels was a military police officer with the 28th Military Police Company. He joined the Army in Illinois in 2005. 

He served three combat deployments and spent 26 months in Iraq and Afghanistan, the release said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The deadly U.S. roads, 34,000 die each year, 2.5 million injured every year.  This soldier survived 3 combat deployments only to get killed here in his homeland.  RIP soldier.
