— A former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper charged with drunken driving
last year after causing about $65,000 in damage to a patrol vehicle,
boat and trailer during a collision while on-duty pleaded guilty to
three misdemeanors Friday.

Eli Davies, 34, received a two-year deferred sentence on charges of
driving under the influence, carrying a firearm while intoxicated and
transporting an open container of liquor, court records updated Tuesday
show.He was ordered to pay a $300 fine and $125 to the victims' compensation fund plus court costs, as well as complete a drug and alcohol assessment, Judge Matthew Orendorff decided during the Friday court appearance.
Davies was a trooper for eight years before resigning on Aug. 26 of last year after being suspended with pay upon his arrest, according to Tulsa World archives.
