SALLISAW — A former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper charged with drunken driving last year after causing about $65,000 in damage to a patrol vehicle, boat and trailer during a collision while on-duty pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors Friday.
Joshua Eli Davies, 34, received a two-year deferred sentence on charges of driving under the influence, carrying a firearm while intoxicated and transporting an open container of liquor, court records updated Tuesday show.

He was ordered to pay a $300 fine and $125 to the victims' compensation fund plus court costs, as well as complete a drug and alcohol assessment, Judge Matthew Orendorff decided during the Friday court appearance.

Davies was a trooper for eight years before resigning on Aug. 26 of last year after being suspended with pay upon his arrest, according to Tulsa World archives.
