2 CHICAGO WATER DEPARTMENT WORKERS INJURED AFTER FALLING INTO 10-FOOT TRENCH WHEN THEY TRIED TO AVOID A SPEEDING CAR

CHICAGO — Two Water Department workers were injured overnight when they fell into a 10-foot trench.

It happened near 95th and Stony Island.

The workers apparently fell in, while trying to avoid a car that was fleeing the police.
They were taken to Trinity Hospital.

Both workers are expected to be OK.

Police haven’t arrested anyone in connection with the chase.
