Two killed in Knott County ATV crash

CARRIE, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police said two people died in an ATV crash that happened in Knott County.
Troopers say the crash happened after midnight on Sunday in the Carrie community.
The Knott County coroner said the ATV was carrying four people. According to the coroner, two people died, one person was taken to Hazard ARH and another was uninjured.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the crash, but they believe the driver lost control of the ATV near an abandoned mine.
Troopers said at least two of the people were thrown from the ATV. The ATV fell on two people, killing them.
The Knott County Coroner said Billy Breeding, 54, and Anthony Singleton, 54, died in the crash.
WKYT has learned that Breeding was a firefighter at the Fisty Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
