HILL COUNTY, TEXAS -
A truck driver walked away without any serious
injuries after a train barreled into his rig at a crossing just outside
Itasca Wednesday afternoon.
DPS trooper D.L. Wilson said the silage truck did not yield the right of way and got hung up on the tracks at State Highway 81 and County Road 1111 about 4:30 p.m.
The Union Pacific train, which was not carrying any hazardous materials, dragged part of the truck nearly a quarter mile, according to a witness.
