Five families are staying at the Senior Center in Lowell
after being displaced by a late night fire Tuesday into Wednesday.
Crews worked early this morning to extinguish the flames on Varney Street.
According to the Lowell Sun, the fire began in the second floor bedroom of one house before spreading to the next home.
The fire displaced more than 20 people.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
