DIES IN SATURDAY TRUCK CRASH NON ON LA. HIGHWAY 12

A Rosepine man died Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash
east of Starks, according to Louisiana State Police.
Wayne M. Wiser, 31, was wearing his seat belt in the
wreck, as were four other occupants of the 2000 Ford F-250 truck Wiser was
driving on La. Highway 12 around 9:31 p.m.
Wiser lost control of the truck "for unknown
reasons," ran off the road and hit a concrete culvert, according to the
release. The truck then hit several trees, causing major damage to the truck.
Wiser died at the scene, according to the Calcasieu
Parish Coroner's Office. The four unidentified passengers sustained minor to
moderate injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Toxicology tests
are pending.
