ONE DEAD IN FIERY
GARDEN STATE PARKWAY CRASH

HOLMDEL— One person was killed in a fiery crash on the
Garden State Parkway early this morning, state police said.
The car was traveling northbound near mile post 117 when
it crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a bridge abutment, in the
overpass, Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. The car burst into flames and was burned beyond
recognition.
Police are still working to identify the driver, as well
as the make and model of the car.
State troopers were called out to the scene at about
2:04 this morning. Only one car was involved, and only one person was in the
car, state police said.
It was a 2015 Hyundai Elantra.
