A construction worker was seriously injured when a crane
overturned at a construction area on the Garden State Parkway north in Brick.

BRICK, NEW JERSEY – A man was seriously injured Saturday
morning when the construction crane he was operating in a Garden State
Parkway construction zone overturned and fell down an embankment, ejecting him
into water, State Police said.
The crane overturned before 10 a.m. near mile-marker 91
in the construction zone on the northbound side of the Parkway, State Police
spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn said.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was
airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious
injuries, Flynn said.
More information on rescue efforts and the circumstances
of the incident wasn't immediately available.
No lanes were shut down as the incident occurred off the
roadway, Flynn said. However, traffic was moving very slowly in the northbound
lanes approaching the incident.
