TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – State police are investigating after a man flips his pickup truck on State Road 43 Monday afternoon.

It happened around 4:50 p.m. in the southbound lanes on S.R. 43 on the hill about a half mile north of the Indiana State Police Post. Troopers say the driver was in the middle turn lane, which was covered with winter slush. He then lost control and flipped the truck in the ditch.

Troopers could not confirm if the driver was ejected, but say he was standing outside the truck when they arrived on scene. He had some scratches and was taken to IU Health Arnett Hospital to be checked out.

The southbound lanes of S.R. 43 were closed for about 20 minutes. One lane remained closed for another half an hour while crews worked to remove the pickup from the ditch.

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- 

The driver of a semi-truck lost control on a ramp to the All American Freeway in Fayetteville early Monday.

It happened around 2 a.m. at Raeford Road.

Video showed the truck on its side and the driver being taken away in an ambulance.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A semi-truck was involved in a crash on I-459 in Birmingham on Monday morning.

The wreck happened on westbound I-459 getting onto I-20 eastbound. The semi overturned, rolled and lost its load in the crash, spilling metal pipes onto the side of the road.

The truck was operated by Alabama Carrier. The truck driver was taken to the hospital. There is no word on the driver's condition.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

Traffic was moving freely but going slowly after the crash.

A 35-year-old Pacolet man died after a crash involving a tractor-trailer Sunday night.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the man as Terwayne Wannamaker, who was driving on Highway 176, 2 miles east of Spartanburg, when his car hit a tractor-trailer.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:10 p.m. Sunday. Wannamaker and the driver of the 18-wheeler were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

Wannamaker was pronounced dead after being transported to Spartanburg Medical Center. His cause of death is still under investigation.

The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
