ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Three people were injured in a head-on crash at a popular Orange County intersection Wednesday afternoon.
The crash shut down Lake Underhill road near the intersection with Dean Road, not far from State Road 408.
Authorities said a car traveling eastbound crossed a double yellow line and struck another vehicle head-on, causing that vehicle to catch fire.
The occupants of the vehicle that burst into flames were able to get out, authorities said.
Three people who were injured were taken to area hospitals, with serious and minor injuries.
The roadway reopened about 5 p.m.
Charges are pending.
