Man injured afterhis Dodge Ram truck rear
ends semi truck in Chisholm, MN

Chisholm, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A 32-year-old Chisholm man
was injured Monday when his Dodge Ram struck the rear end of a semi truck.
The crash happened just after five pm on Highway 169
near Chisholm.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol the Peterbuilt
Semi was on the shoulder of the highway when it pulled out into northbound
traffic.
That's when Thompson's vehicle made contact with the
semi and rolled onto its side.
The driver of the Semi, 52-year-old Craig A. Larson, of
Brainerd, escaped injuries.

CHISHOLM, MN — A Chisholm man was injured in a
two-vehicle crash at 5:11 p.m. Monday near milepost 346 on Highway 169.
A 2014 Dodge Ram driven by John F. Thompson, 32, of
Chisholm, was traveling northbound on Highway 169 when it rear-ended a 2000
Peterbuilt driven by Craig A. Larson, 52, of Brainerd, Minn., that pulled into
traffic from the shoulder, according to a Minnesota State Patrol release. The
contact caused the Dodge to rollover on its side.
Thompson was transported to Fairview Range Medical
Center (FRMC) in Hibbing for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries. Larson
was not injured.
Both individuals were wearing seatbelts, but an airbag
only deployed in the Dodge.
Each vehicle was towed. The Dodge was totaled, and the
Peterbuilt obtained minor damage.
No alcohol was detected. Road conditions were dry at the
time of the crash.
The Chisholm police and fire departments, and the St.
Louis County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
