GRUNDY CENTER (KWWL) -
It's still unclear what exactly sparked a fire at an area business, but the damage may exceed one million dollars.

It happened at Heavy Equipment Manufacturing in Grundy Center during the weekend.
"I thought it must be somebody else's fire because it couldn't be ours. It was much bigger than I thought," said Roger Bockes, owner.

The fire took over the whole building. Bockes says he thinks the building is a total loss, but that will be determined by the insurance adjuster.
No one was inside at the time. In fact, Bockes says no one was inside the building a few days before the fire started because they had time off for Christmas.

"Oh I think it's electrical, electrical fire and that's how it started," said Bockes.
Bockes says the company has been in Grundy Center for more than 18 years building concrete paving equipment and all the equipment that revolves around paving.
"Born and raised here and I would like to stay in this community and continue to rebuild and build concrete paving equipment like we have been."

Bockes says will be rebuilding either on its existing lot or on another location nearby.
In the meantime, Heavy Equipment Manufacturing continues to work. They have set up shop across the street from their old location.
