A Monday morning explosion blew out windows and left a condominium in shambles in southeast Fort Collins.
Poudre
Fire Authority crews were called about 10:15 a.m. Monday to 2602
Timberwood Drive, near the intersection of Corbett Drive and Harmony
Road, on a report of an explosion, said Capt. Patrick Love, PFA
spokesman. The residence was part of an eight-unit complex of homes but
was the only one that sustained damages. Neighbors reported feeling the
jolt.
There was no smoke or fire when crews arrived, Love said.
The explosion sent a window pane flying more than 20 feet into the
grass, and it left shattered glass along the concrete. Interior photos
and furniture were strewn about the living room.
Two men were home at the time of the blast, but neither was injured.
Fire
and law enforcement investigators remained on the scene until about 2
p.m. Additional information about the cause or origin was not
immediately made available, however police investigators said it was not
believed to have been related to gas.
