LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Authorities say a 22-year-old
woman has died in a house fire in Louisville.
Louisville Division of Fire Capt. Salvador Melendez said
firefighters responded to a blaze at a one-story home that was engulfed in
flames Saturday morning.
Firefighters found a woman who was unconscious in the
back of the home. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Five children and three other adults were in the home at
the time of the fire, but they exited safely.
Arson investigators say the fire started in a front room
of the house, but the cause remains under investigation.
Melendez says two firefighters and emergency crew
members were injured as an ambulance they were riding in was involved in an
accident with another vehicle. They were treated for non-life threatening
injuries.
