BUS AND CAR
COLLISION IN SOUTH HOUSTON, TEXAS. THE
CAR CRASHED INTO THE SIDE OF THE BUS AND WAS WEDGED BENEATH IT. 2 INJURIES.

A school bus and car collided Friday morning in south
Houston.
The collision happened about 7 a.m. on Tierwester near
Good Hope, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Officials said 22 students, ages 5 to 13 years old, were
on the bus at the time of the crash
The driver of the car, the bus driver and one student
were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Their possible injuries and
conditions were not released. The other students were evaluated at the scene.
Some were then transferred to another bus to be taken to school while others
were released to the care of their parents.
Officials said investigators were still trying to
determine what led to the crash. The car appeared to have crashed into the side
of the bus and was wedged beneath it.
