Semi-Truck Goes Off Hwy 105 Bridge, Driver Killed in Navasota, Texas
NAVASOTA – The driver of a semi-truck was killed Friday morning when his rig went off a bridge on Highway 105.
The accident happened around 8:00 a.m., about four miles east of Highway 6.
Our crew on the scene is waiting for more details from State Troopers, but it appears the big rig was involved in an accident with a pickup truck before careening off the bridge.
The truck is owned by Performance Contracting Inc., based out of Kansas. The driver’s body will be taken to Lockhart for an autopsy.
TXDOT crews are working to repair the damaged guardrail.
Traffic is still reduced to one lane.
