FIRE DESTROYS
BARN IN TOWN OF BETHANY, NEW YORK; 20 PIGS KILLED

BETHANY, NEW YORK — Three adult pigs and 17 piglets died
in an early-morning fire that destroyed a barn at the David Orr farm, 10628
East Rd. in Bethany, New York.
The fire was fought in sub-zero temperatures. The barn
is a total loss.
No human injuries were reported.
Six fire companies were called to the scene, including
Bethany, Pavilion, Stafford, Alexander, Attica, the city of Batavia Fast Team,
Wyoming and Genesee County Emergency Management.
Darien and East Pembroke were asked to fill in at the
Alexander Fire Hall. Town of Batavia asked to fill in at Bethany Fire Hall.
