CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A fire ripped through a home in
northwest Charlotte early Tuesday morning, according to fire officials.
Fire crews responded to a single-story home on Boyd
Street, near Harrison Street and Jones Street around 5:45 a.m.
Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked
the flames. An estimate on damage has not been released, but part of the back
of the home collapsed from the flames. A neighbor told WBTV's Mark Davenport
they didn't believe anyone was living inside the home.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames just
before 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
