Crews clean up spilled milk and other debris Monday July 20, 2015 after a tractor trailer rig hit the underside of a railroad bridge on South St. Mary's Street about 5:30 a.m. near Brackenridge High School. Police at the scene said the driver was not injured and all of the food products on the truck were considered contaminated and would be disposed of. The street has been closed off for more than three hours.

Crews have been working for hours to clean a truckload of
food products ranging from milk to hotdogs after an 18-wheeler slammed
into a bridge on the South Side Monday morning.
According to police, a truck headed south struck a railroad overpass
on South St. Mary’s Street just before Roosevelt Avenue around 5:30 a.m.
The impact shredded the vehicle’s trailer and sent an assortment of merchandise tumbling into the street.
Officers said the driver of the truck was not injured, however, the
food products being towed were considered contaminated and will be
disposed of.
