OAK GROVE, Va. (WUSA9) --
A driver escaped with minor injuries after his tanker overturned on a ramp in Loudoun County on Monday morning.
The tanker turned on its side on the ramp from VA 606 to northbound Route 28 in Oak Grove.
Tar that was being transported in the truck spilled onto the roadway along with some diesel fuel and transmission fluid, according to Loudoun County fire officials.A driver escaped with minor injuries after his tanker overturned on a ramp in Loudoun County on Monday morning.

Loudoun and Fairfax fire and rescue crews, Loudoun hazmat and a Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority foam truck all responded to the scene.
Ramps to northbound Rt. 28 from Va. 606 and Old Ox Road are closed.
