ATV DRIVER TRIES TO PERFORM A DONUT AND INSTEAD HE WAS ALMOST PLASTERED ALONG WITH TWO PASSENGERS NEAR NEW LONDON, MO

NEW LONDON, Mo. --  

Three Hannibal residents suffered injuries in an ATV crash about 11:30 p.m. Saturday north of New London.

Injured and taken by private vehicle to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., were Lawrence D. Dodd, 26, the driver, and his two passengers, Brenton L. Rickey, 24, and Paige M. Winningham, 22.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Dodd was driving a 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 ATV and attempted to perform a donut and overturned. 

The two passengers were partially ejected. The crash occurred at 56464 Choctaw Trail, four miles north of New London. Each was wearing a safety device.

Assisting were the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Marion County and Ralls County ambulances, New London Fire Department and the New London Police Department.
