UPDATE (WKOW) -- A Minnesota man has died after a crash involving a semi-truck full of bees.

It happened on I-90 eastbound near the Wisconsin Dells at around 10:40 Saturday night. The Wisconsin State Patrol says a car crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting the semi, which rolled over and caught fire before some of the bees were released.

Some people nearby, including responding troopers, were stung.

Officials say the 63-year-old man driving the car died and a 30-year-old woman has life-threatening injuries. The semi driver is expected to be ok.

The State Patrol says Bees and Baskets of Cazenovia helped them recover the bees.
