ANOTHER CLOSE CALL: PROPANE DELIVERY TRUCK OVERTURNS NEAR GREENWOOD, DELAWARE. NO EXPLOSIONS OR FIRES REPORTED.

GREENWOOD, Del.- The Delaware State Police
are investigating a single vehicle crash Monday morning involving a Pep-Up
propane truck east of Greenwood that slightly injured the driver.
Troopers said that shortly after 8 a.m, 62-year-old Ben E. Fulton, of Georgetown, was operating a 2011 Peterbilt Pep-Up propane truck westbound on Beach Highway (SR16) just west of Hunters Cove Road. As the truck entered a slight curve in the road, troopers said both right side wheels went off the pavement and onto the soft shoulder before the operator over-corrected to the left causing the truck to overturn on the passenger's side.
Police said Fulton, who was properly restrained, was removed from the scene and transported by EMS to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. He was cited with Inattentive Driving.
Lanes in that area of Beach Highway were closed in both directions for about three hours as hazmat teams from the Delaware Department of Transportation and Pep-Up worked to contain the diesel fuel spill.
Police said there were no reports of propane leaks.
