HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS

Two people were killed early Saturday when a Chevrolet Impala slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler truck towing a flatbed trailer on the East Sam Houston Parkway North feeder road near Tidwell Road, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

The driver of the rig had stopped looking for an address at about 3 a.m. when the wreck occurred. The occupants of the Impala have not been identified pending notification of their relatives. Traffic was slow on the feeder road, two lanes of which was shut down for several hours.

The 18-wheeler's trailer appeared to have minimal; lights and/or reflective signs.
