— Police have identified the driver killed in a wrong-way crash on a metro Atlanta interstate over the weekend as 27-year-old Keith F. Smith of Suwanee.

DeKalb County police say that Smith's 2001 Mercedes exploded in flames when it collided with a southbound rental truck around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 85 South.

Police said the Mercedes was driving the wrong way on the interstate and crashed head-on into the rental truck.

The driver of the truck, George Saunders of Cumming, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition wasn't available.

The wreck closed the southbound lanes of I-85 for about four hours early Saturday.
