MORE UNDERRIDING INJURIES: 2 PINNED IN VEHICLE AFTER CRASH WITH TRUCK ON ROUTE 9 IN FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS

Another underriding incident.  It is obvious from the photo above that the SUV went under the truck because there was no barrier on the truck to limit or prevent the underriding.  It is time for the feds to implement the underriding prevention standards that they have been sitting on for many years.  They will save lives and minimize injuries.

Scanner reports had one of the two individuals unconscious when emergency crews arrived at the Route 9 crash just before midnight.

Framingham Fire using hydraulic tools to extricate a man and a woman from a SUV, after it was pinned under a tractor trailer truck, just before midnight on Thursday evening, on Route 9 at the intersection at California Avenue. 

A medical helicopter was requested and scheduled to land at Massachusetts State Police headquarters for the two patients. Scanner reports had one of the two individuals unconscious when emergency crews arrived.

Scanner reports had the female transported to MetroWest Medical Center early Friday morning. 

Their injuries are unknown at this time. 

Framingham Police requested Mass State Police reconstruction team to the scene.
