ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —A tractor trailer full of Angus Beef burst into flames Monday after crashing into a median barrier.

The fiery crash shut down Coors at I-40 for a good portion of the holiday morning.

Witnesses say the driver crashed into the median barrier at the westbound Coors exit before the trailer erupted in flames.

Fortunately the driver was able to walk away from the crash uninjured but many driving by said they were sure given the damage, the crash was much worse.

"I'm just amazed that for the amount of destruction on the truck, that more people aren't hurt. It's just amazing,” Alex Van Disco told KOAT.

As of Tuesday morning, investigators have not provided any further details about what happened or if the driver will be cited for the crash.
