A pizza delivery driver smashed into a townhouse in Apex Tuesday night (WTVD)

APEX (WTVD) -- A pizza delivery driver is facing charges after he slammed into a townhouse in Apex Wednesday night.
It happened on Branch Line Lane, off Apex Peakway and N. Salem Street.
Authorities said the driver, Michael Jacob Ferrall of Apex, failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck by another vehicle.
He told police his brakes failed, causing him to crash into the townhouse.
Ferrall was charged with careless and reckless, failing to stop for a stop sign, and speeding in conjunction with this crash.
No one was injured.
The home is listed for sale and was not occupied at the time of the crash.
Officials said Ferrell was in the process of making a delivery when the accident happened.
