A man was killed in an industrial accident Thursday morning in Kenner, according to the Kenner Police Department.
Officers responded just before 11 a.m. to Bennet Trucking on West 24th Street.
When they arrived they learned that 63-year-old Albert Brooks of Metairie was working on a 1992 Peterbilt dump truck owned by Bennet. Brooks’ body was positioned between the raised bed of the truck and the frame.
During the work, a support broke, causing the raised bed to fall on Brooks, crushing him.
Brooks was pronounced dead at Ochsner Kenner.
Police said the death appears to be accidental.
Kenner Police Detective Vincent Miranti is in charge of the investigation.
