SOYBEAN-CARRYING TRAIN DERAILMENT REPORTED IN SCOTTSBURG, INDIANA

SCOTTSBURG, INDIANA (WAVE)

A train carrying soybeans derailed in Scottsburg, IN around midnight. The incident is affecting traffic in the area.
The incident happened on Lovers Lane about a block-and-half east of Highway 31.
No injuries are reported.

SCOTTSBURG, INDIANA (WDRB)

Authorities are responding to a train derailment in Scott County, Indiana, Monday morning, that's briefly caused traffic delays.

We're told by Scott County Sheriff's Office dispatchers that it happened on Fairground Road, between Hwy. 31 and Vienna Road.

No injuries have been reported, but dispatchers say the train spilled a load of soy beans.  Fairground Road was briefly blocked.

It is expected to be cleaned up within the next few hours.
