CRASHED MOTORCYCLE CAUSES FIRE UNDER ANOTHER VEHICLE IN METAIRIE, LOUISIANA

A motorcycle was involved in a fiery crash in Metairie on Monday morning.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. Monday near the intersection of 43rd Street and Causeway Blvd.

Officers say that the motorcyclist sustained injuries in the crash. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

The motorcyclist crashed into a vehicle that turned in front of him. He flew off of his bike and suffered several broken bones, as reported by nola.com/The Times Picayune.

The motorcycle slid under another a vehicle, damaging the gas tank of that car. Sparks form the crash caused the vehicle to ignite.
