Authorities
have identified the man who died in a late morning car crash as 58-year-old
Charles Kobosko of Smyrna.
Delaware State Police continue to investigate the crash, which occurred Friday at approximately 10:20 a.m. along Route 13 near Duck Creek Road.
Kobosko, driving a 2014 Mazda 3, drifted into the left hand lane for unknown reasons before striking the right rear portion of a dump truck stopped in a left-hand turn lane in front of him.
The affected lanes of Dupont Parkway at Duck Creek Road were closed as police investigated the crash.
Kobosko was properly restrained at the time of his crash. He was transported to Kent General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
