HOUSTON, TEXAS (KTRK) --

A crossing guard was killed in an accident in front of a private school in Midtown.

We're told there was a two-car wreck in front of the Houston Academy for International Studies on Hamilton and Elgin. One of the vehicles involved hit the crossing guard.

A woman and two kids were transported to a nearby hospital in good condition. They were in one of the vehicles involved in the accident. The driver of other vehicle was taken by Houston police to be tested for possible impairment.
