FIRE EXTENSIVELY DAMAGES EAU CLAIRE HOME IN WISCONSIN. THE CAUSE & ORIGIN INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING

EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN:
An early morning fire caused extensive damage to an Eau
Claire house, but the owners and their dog were able to escape unharmed.
The fire at 3014 Sixth St., was reported a 2:48 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames shooting from the
one-story home.
Owners William and Suzanna Whiteside were alerted to the
fire by smoke detectors and were able to evacuate with their dog before
firefighters arrived.
A total of 18 firefighters responded to the fire, which
took about two hours to bring under control.
Damage estimate is $150,000. The cause and origin of the
fire is under investigation.
