Fire heavily damages Pearl Restaurant in
Providence, RI
PROVIDENCE, R.I. _ An early morning fire heavily damaged
the Pearl
Restaurant on Charles Street Wednesday.
Battalion Chief William Kenyon said flames were shooting
out of the front doors when they arrived around 2 a.m. at the Pearl Restaurant, at 393 Charles St., Providence
Providence brought in eight fire engines, five
ladder trucks and two rescue vehicles to the scene. The fire moved to the
second floor, which firefighters had to fight using ladders and ladder trucks.
The fire wasn’t knocked down until 3:30 a.m. The
building sustained heavy damage.
The fire is under investigation and the cause of the
fire remains unknown at this time.
No one was injured.
