OKLAHOMA CITY —A diesel spill on the Belle Isle bridge caused crashes Tuesday night in Oklahoma.
The spill is near I-44 and Penn, and was reported just after 8:30 p.m.
Oklahoma City Fire officials said a semi truck heading west in the area hit something, causing diesel to leak on the inside, westbound lanes of the Belle Isle bridge.
Officials said another driver lost control of a vehicle due to the spill, and slammed into the bridge.
In addition, a pickup slid in the diesel and hit the semi that caused the spill.
Drivers on the scene denied treatment, officials said.
Crews are working to clean up the spill and control traffic in the area.
Drivers in the area should expect slowdowns.
