APRIL 8, 2015

LISLE, N.Y. (WIVB)

Emergency HAZMAT crews have been working at the site of a tractor trailer spill near Binghamton.  Four thousands gallons of liquid manure flipped over on a road in Lisle, spilling its load into a ditch and onto private property.

CBS affiliate, WBNG-TV, reports that the driver Charles H. Clute, 43, was not injured.  His pocketboot, though, will be greatly affected.

His vehicle apparently drifted onto the soft shoulder and then overturned on Caldwell Hill Road around 6:11 p.m.

The accident is being investigated by the NYS Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and monitored by the Department of Environmental Conservation Spill Response Team.
