An employee at the Hebron Amazon facility was hit and killed as she left work early Tuesday, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

HEBRON, Ky. -- A woman was killed early Tuesday when she stepped in front of a concrete truck, Boone County sheriff's officials said.
Paula J. Newsom, 52, had just gotten off work from the Amazon Fulfillment Center and was crossing Litton Lane to an overflow parking lot, according to Maj. Tom Scheben.
She walked out in front of a concrete mixer, which hit and killed her, Scheben said.
The truck's driver, Trannis Morgan, 66, was taken to a hospital for drug and alcohol test. That's standard procedure any time a commercial vehicle is involved in a fatal collision, Scheben said.
The sheriff's Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
