BOSTON, Mass. - A worker died in a construction accident while disassembling a crane Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the construction site in Longwood Medical Area around 1 p.m. for a report of an accident involving a crane.
Boston Fire officials said the accident happened on Shattuck Street in the Longwood medical area of Boston near Dana-Farber.
Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School are in the area of Shattuck Street.
Officials say the worker fell from the crane as he was disassembling it and he was killed. The incident is under investigation.
OSHA is reportedly on the way to the scene to look into the circumstances surrounding the death.
