MERCED COUNTY (KFSN) -- According to the California Highway Patrol, two people have been killed in an accident on Highway 99 and Sultana in Merced County.
The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. when, according to CHP, a Lexus heading north on 99 crossed over the median and collided with a Dodge Ram traveling in the fast lane.
CHP said the driver of the Lexus, a woman in her 40's, was killed along with her passenger, a teen, who was ejected from the car. The driver of the truck only suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
