HOUSTON (KTRK) --
The East Loop southbound exit ramp at SH 225 is closed after a big rig rollover.The truck flipped just before 3am, but there is no indication yet how the accident happened. The accident involves just the 18-wheeler.

Emergency crews had to shut down a single lane begin cleaning the mess up. The wreck is being treated as a hazmat spill, but we are not yet sure what the truck was carrying.
There is no word on how long the roadway will be closed.

The rollover risks of trucks. The driver was going to fast and failed to negotiate the exit curve after the load shifted. It may only take 0.2 g for the semi to roll over and play dead.
