BEXAR COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Two workers died from toxic fumes while cleaning an oil tank at
Pinnacle Truck Trailer and Rail in the San Antonio area.

A county fire official says both men were in their 20s and worked for Pinnacle Truck Trailer and Rail.

She said they were working to clean a large crude oil tanker to ready it for another load of oil.

One of them went was overcome by fumes when he entered the tank -- which was not ventilated properly.

The other worker collapsed just outside the tanker.

Both were later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bexar County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
