2 seriously injured after a boat crash near Oyster Bay in Gulf Shores, AL


Two Airlifted to Hospital after Boat Crash

GULF SHORES, AL:

 
According to the Gulf Shores Fire Department, two patients were airlifted to a hospital following a boat crash near Oyster Bay in Gulf Shores.

The crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday night. At this time, there have been no confirmed fatalities.

There was only one boat involved in the crash that occurred near Lafitte Boulevard, which is near Oyster Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway. It appears the boat struck something in the water. The helicopters that airlifted the patients departed from Jack Edwards Airport.

It was a busy day for boaters in Baldwin County, Gumbo Key was held near Robinson Island in Orange Beach. Gumbo Key is a music concert that is accessible by water.
