DURHAM, NC (WTVD) --
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said a westbound Toyota Camry crashed into the back of a pickup truck stopped at a red light.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Michael William Vandall, 59, of Henderson.
The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries.
The road was shut down for about three hours while police investigated.
